Heather Foster’s first involvement in football began in 1987 as a cheerleader for the Richmond Raiders Junior Football Club. She quickly expanded her role, serving as Secretary on the Raiders’ Board of Directors (1990–1992).

When the Raiders and Renfrew Trojans merged to form the Vancouver Trojans in 1992, Heather became Team Manager, later adding responsibility for team statistics (1993–2002). In 2003, she joined the BC Football Conference (formerly the BC Junior Football League) as League Media Representative and Assistant Statistician. By 2006, she advanced to League Statistician, a position she continues to hold, managing all conference statistics for both media and teams. In 2018, Heather was elected to the BCFC Board of Directors, where she also serves as Conference Registrar. In recognition of her decades of service, she was awarded a BCFC Life Membership in 2021.

Heather’s contributions to high school football are equally significant. Since the mid-1990s, she has volunteered with the BC Provincial Championships. In 2012, she joined the organizing committee for the Subway Bowl and became Operations Manager in 2015 before being elevated to Event Manager in 2017. In 2019, she took on the role of Treasurer of the BC Secondary Schools Football Association (BCSSFA), a position she continues to hold.

In addition to her work in junior and high school football, Heather dedicated 25 years (1987–2012) as a 50/50 volunteer with the BC Lions before transitioning to the Lions’ stats team. Since 2012, she has been a member of the in-house game-day production team at BC Place, serving as Font Coordinator for BC Lions home games.
