George Chayka

George has been a fixture with the BC Lions for more than a decade. He has left an indelible mark on a variety of different football and business operations within the organization.

During his tenure with the Leos, George has been a Director of Marketing and Vice President of both Football and Business Operations. Since 1997, George has directed his focus towards the business development side of the Lions organization, which has him overseeing business partnerships and new revenue opportunities.

In 2005, George was the recipient of the Commissioners Award for his efforts in helping to create the Waterboys ambassador group and his work in promoting the 2005 Grey Cup played in Vancouver.

The Lions 2011 Grey Cup win marked the fourth time that he has been part of a championship season with the Lions, including 1994, 2000 and 2006. Prior to the Lions, George attended SFU where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration. While at SFU, he played running back and defensive back before moving on to coaching running backs and special teams as a graduate assistant. George also worked as a player agent and represented more than 40 CFL players from 1982 to 1992.
