David was an outstanding football player in BC and played for the Notre Dame Jugglers. In 1993, he was given the Sport BC High School Athlete of the Year Award and was named the game MVP after helping Notre Dame capture a Senior Varsity AAA Provincial championship. In 1994, he was also named BC Overall Athlete for his successes on the field.
After an outstanding high school career, David went on to play college football at SFU from 1994 to 1997 and helped the team win the 1996 Shrum Bowl by scoring a touchdown against UBC. In 1997, David also broke Sean Millington’s single season rushing record with 1076 rushing yards. After his university playing days came to an end, David played football in Europe for three years and won the Eurobowl Championship in 2000 with the Bergamo Lions.
David currently coaches high school sports and is a teacher at St. Thomas More. He and his wife Serena have also done a lot of charitable work with children in Kenya.
